Like a film-noir alchemist, Tania Franco Klein combines the erotic and the enigmatic, setting retro scenes of anxious road trips and glamorous hangovers against the psychological grain of the present: the stress of our digital age; the stress of performing. Her women are lost in the world but found in images.

Franco Klein, who has lived between Mexico City, California and London examines her lost sense of home. That loss is expressed in these photographs as a search, by both artist and subject, woman alone and women as some imagined collective.

Proceed to the Route is the first U.S. solo-exhibition of photographs by Tania Franco Klein whose show inaugurates RoseGallery in their new space at Bergamot Station.
