Join photographer Brandon Tauszik and Hunter Baoengstrum for a discussion of the Water and Power exhibition currently on view at the PAC LA Gallery, followed by a bike tour visiting various LADWP owned and operated or affiliated facilitiesin the vicinity of the PAC LA Gallery.  Tauszik and Baoengrtrum will discuss the city's relationship with water and it's outsized impact on the history of Los Angeles development. They will also discuss water’s relationship with electrical power generation and distribution in the city. 
 
During the bike tour Baoengstrum  will discuss LADWP’s institutional history and a basic overview ofits operating structure with a focus on its unique independence as a proprietary department under the city charter and extensive physical footprintin the city. These discussions at the selected facilities will deepen attendees’ appreciation for and understanding of LA’s hydroelectric histories and Tauszik's exhibition.

NOTE: Bring your own bicycle, helmet and water for the ride. Completion of a liability waiver required for participation.
