HEARING: MICHAL HEIMAN is the first the first-ever exhibition in Los Angeles by the acclaimed Israeli artist.
One of the most influential artists in Israel today, Michal Heiman’s work navigates the worlds of photography, archival practice, critical theory, psychoanalysis, diagnosis, gender and performance. Heiman invites the audience to take part in her performative vocabularies and research-based pursuits.
In this unusual photography exhibition, her first solo show on the west coast, Heiman continues to excavate the histories of discarded, forgotten women that have been trapped in asylums, inviting the audience to insert themselves into these untold histories.
We will be treated to a tour of this unique exhibition by Chief Curator Dr. Rotem Rozental. Please join us.
