WATCH: Collective Constellation: A discussion of the exhibition at Art + Practice

In collaboration with our friends at ArtMuse. Join art critic Jennifer S. Li to learn more about a special selection of works from the collection of Eileen Harris Norton, an important collector and philanthropist in the city of Los Angeles (Harris Norton was the first to buy a work from an unknown Mark Bradford in 2001). Our virtual tour will focus on photographic works in "Collective Constellation: Selections from The Eileen Harris Norton Collection," currently up at Art + Practice, a non-profit exhibition space and foundation in historic Leimert Park founded by Harris Norton, along with Bradford and social activist Allan DiCastro. We will explore how photography is used by artists such as Lorna Simpson, Adrian Piper, Shirin Neshat and others to obscure, obfuscate, clarify, confirm, or question social conventions or notions of identity.
