An artist talk and conversation with Kennedi Carter and Rose Shoshana, talking through ROSEGALLERY's current online exhibition This Seems A Home, representations of place, the body, and Black intimacy. Followed by a Q&A.

Kennedi Carter, a Durham, North Carolina native by way of Dallas Texas, is a photographer with a primary focus on Black subjects. Her work highlights the aesthetics and sociopolitical aspects of Black life as well as the overlooked beauties of the Black experience: skin, texture, trauma, peace, love and community. Her work aims to reinvent notions of creativity and confidence in the realm of Blackness.

Rose Shoshana founded ROSEGALLERY in 1991. Her internationally recognized contemporary gallery is located in the renowned Bergamot Station Arts Center in Santa Monica, California. The gallery is committed to the ongoing development, definition, and long-term conceptualization, preservation, and presentation of art collections.
